Evolution

Mankind has developed. First there was the LAWS. (I´m thinking especially of the Torah.) Which of course was a progress. We can´t just go around killing people, stealing and being unfaithful! (that´s how I imagine they were thinking.) Of course, establishing laws was easier once humans had learned how to WRITE. And then (a thousand years or so later) some said "Wait a minute. That´s an awful lot of stoning. (and ripping out eyes.) How about some MERCY? And forgiveness??" The time was ripe for Buddha. And Jesus. And Lao Tse. (you have to bear in mind the different time aspect in God. Or in evolution, if you will. A thousand years is like - not much.) Of course then people started to TRAVEL. And meet people in other countries. The television was invented. And then the computer. And we now realize WE ARE ONE WORLD. So how long can we go on thinking we are not the same? (we have the best chance ever of making peace.)
