Stigma

Where does the word "stigmatized" come from? From the Greek "stigma", wound. It refers to the wounds in the hands and feet of Christ. I think probably every patient in this severely traumatic situation identifies with Christ. When a "normal" person does it, it is considered good. (at least in a Christian society.) We should try to be Christ-like! (the Pope, too, lives after this.) But when a loonie does it - - - ! (Mother Teresa always said she saw Christ in every poor and sick person she helped. I´ve never heard anyone call her a loonie. She got the Nobel Peace Prize.)
